Military Community Youth Ministries (MCYM)
is a not for profit military youth serving organization that began in
1980. MCYM was begun by chaplains and military parents who wanted
youth ministry for their students in Europe. In the late 1980's MCYM
began ministry in the US. They are now located
in over 40 installations world wide!
MCYM has several strategic
partnerships and affiliations, to include Youth For Christ, Young Life
and the National Federation of Catholic Youth Workers. They continue today
as the finest youth organization bringing contracted youth ministry to
military installations.They operate by providing
youth workers to military installations. These staff are resourced from
a combination of funding from a contract and raising personal support
through their parent organization as faith missionaries.
